Amazing Night!

What an amazing night the benefit was!!

Family, friends and complete strangers made the night a wonderful success! The food was delicious....spaghetti, bread and lots of goodies! There were a total of 117 auctions to bid on.

The night started out with a heart-filled speech by Brent's aunt Cheryl, followed by a blessing of the night by our beloved Pastor John Rogers.

From there, things got crazy but so much fun. Dinner started, bidding started and of course greeting all of the people that were able to come out for the night.

The night went by entirely too fast. Winner's of the auction stuck around to see what prize they had won. We have a few auction items left to call their winner's and let them know what they won.

Brent's entire family would like to say Thank You for all your generosity and support. The loved that was shown brought tears to each of our eyes. With your support, we were able to reach our goal last night and beyond that goal!

Enjoy the slide show of pictures from our fabulous night!!

Welcome!

Brent's Life in Pictures

Brent's family & friends are holding a Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction on Saturday September 13, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, to raise money to help cover medical costs. Brent was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF-1) when he was 2 months old. His Mom and Dad were told that anywhere in his body that there is a nerve ending, he could have problems develop. Since then Brent has developed the following:
  • Optic Nerve Giloma (blindness in right eye-visual fields decreasing left side)
  • Obstructive Hydrocephalus (abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid)
  • Left Hemiparesis (partial paralysis of one side of the body)
  • 3 inoperable Fusiform Aneurysm within the brain
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Growth hormone deficiency (out-of-pocket cost for this prescription is over $400.00 each month)
  • Multiple cysts within the brain and along his spine.
Brent is going through or had chemotherapy, radiation, three surgeries (including brain), over 50 MRI scans, CT scans, extensive eye exams, Gait analysis studies and he wears an AFO hinged leg brace and foot insert. Currently Brent has started Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments at HCMC in Minneapolis, MN with hopes of stopping the deterioration of his visual fields.
